Production Enhancement

Oil and gas wells begin production one day at a time, at most, until the situation changes, at which point oil production decreases and water production increases as the situation evolves over time.
This causes the well to become increasingly unprofitable.
StarTech offers a comprehensive spectrum of additives, ranging from matrix acidizing to fracturing gel treatments.

Matrix Acidizing Systems

Matrix acidizing entails injecting an acid into the wellbore to dissolve and eliminate barriers to production without fracturing the rock and destroying the reservoir.
Because the acid will come into contact with hydrocarbons downhole, additives must be added to prevent the formation of sludges and emulsions.

Fracturing

The goal of fracture, on the other hand, is to purposefully fracture the rock with an overburden of hydraulic pressure and then hold open or "prop" open the fissures with sized sand called proppant.
Gels based on water or hydrocarbons are utilized to suspend and transport this proppant into the fracture formation, so establishing a conduit for increased production.
